Hotel Porta Nigra - Trier

an lovely stay with amazing staff and good breakfast options that will brighten your morning

The hotel offers a fantastic location near bustling attractions. I loved the buffet breakfast, with fresh choices, and the staff were really nice too ensure a nice stay.

Clean, modern space near historic landmarks. Breakfast spread offers tasty options.

The double rooms are somewhat cramped, and bathroom design leaves little room for comfort. When arriving after hours, the check-in procedure can feel cumbersome, especially with code management.

We had the comfort triple room which was modern and compact. We thoroughly enjoyed satellite TV, central heating, and coffee/tea making machines. Its location next to a Baroque church was particularly good and amazing.

The room was new-fashioned with an exceptionally comfortable bed and the staff were very, very nice. The breakfast had a great selection of LOCAL options, and was delicious and particularly nice.

the bathroom had some issues with water spilling all over the floor. the location was perfect, just a short walk from the Porta Nigra. The touch-less entry system was super convenient. the breakfast spread was surprisingly varied and fresh, definitely a highlight!

The morning meal was large with boiled eggs. Location: the hotel was really close to Porta Nigra & central square & cathedral, the city center and Porta Nigra as well as central train station, and restaurants and the Porta Nigra:)))

The location near Porta Nigra is fantastic for exploring Trier. Unfortunately, the shower size is cramped, affecting comfort.

The staff were helpful, allowing me to check out late, which really eased my schedule. The whole experience was good!

the reception area is cute and has a great atmosphere, but the bathrooms are tiny.

Location was amazing. Just steps from Porta Nigra and the breakfast was excellent, with delicious options like freshly baked chocolate croissants. Staff in the breakfast area were attentive and friendly.

The location is fantastic, with Porta Nigra just steps away and easy access to public transport. A highlight was the clean and modern rooms, with essentials like an electric kettle. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety that included tasty options like soup. The bathroom in my room felt cramped, and the hotel wasn't particularly accommodating for English speakers, though we managed to communicate. It was a pleasant stay, but improvements in room size and staff language support would enhance the experience.

It was a suitable option for a short weekend trip in Trier and offered good value for money. The shower facilities were great. Try to grab breakfast early for the best selection!

The location is ideal for bike riders as it's within easy walking distance of all historical sights and attractions. I found the spacious apartment very comfortable, especially after a long day of cycling. The staff gave great suggestions for local bike routes.

The Wi-Fi connection was a bit unreliable at times, frustrating.

comfortable room, convenient location, well-prepared breakfast, with a lovely breakfast area lady and excellent wi-fi, made my stay enjoyable while being just steps away from the main attractions and having easy access to public transport.

Everything went smoothly.
